YIP, an initiative of the Community Foundation is a program designed to introduce local high school students to philanthropy and community. Interested students will need to be in grades 9-12 during the 2010-2011 school year. Student must live in West Chester or Liberty Township and have a passion to make a difference in our community."

The event, which kicks off at 9 a.m., will feature a one-mile and a three-mile walk, both aimed at raising funds to support arthritis research.

Katia will be leading Team Flat Rock, and will be joined on the walk by the spirit of a special friend who also knows the daily struggles faced by arthritis sufferers."
