Boozy Cow owner Garreth Wood backs youth philanthropy project - Edinburgh Evening News: "Garreth Wood, whose Speratus Group runs the Boozy Cow, supports the Youth Philanthropy Initiative Scotland, which allows school children to make a charitable donation.

Mr Wood yesterday made donations worth a total of £263,000 to five charities – including £50,000 to YPI Edinburgh."

College students contribute to growing business Nonprofit Hub | News | dailynebraskan.com: "University of Nebraska-Lincoln junior Angela Cuadros treats philanthropy like a job. Each week, there are the hours spent mentoring a 17-year-old girl and volunteering with Dance Marathon. And there’s her position as a resident assistant in Eastside Suites.

But this August, Cuadros decided to take her interest for helping others into her professional life as well. The marketing and management major is the social media content writing intern for Nonprofit Hub, an organization that helps nonprofits and other businesses that “do good” for the community to accomplish their goals."

TROY students collect more than 200 pounds of clothing for charity: "DOTHAN, AL (WTVY) A clothing drive organized by Troy University students collected more than 200 pounds of clothes for charity Thursday.

Students from the Applications for Civic Engagement class on the Dothan Campus organized the clothing drive, which collected items to be donated to Mama Tina’s Mission House, a local soup kitchen that helps the needy in the Dothan area."

Burlington youngster creating Valentine's Day cards as fundraiser for juvenile arthritis: "With the help of his parents and his martial arts school, Ayden previously hosted a tournament that featured 1,000 demonstrators, participants and sponsors coming together to raise almost $30,000 for the Arthritis Society’s Walk to Fight Arthritis.

He was also named Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy last year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals."
