Artful Philanthropist Living Up to Her Name - Nashua, NH Patch: But Charity wants her work to be recognized, not just for the sake of making a name for herself, but because she's doing something to make the world a better place for others, especially children, who aren't quite as fortunate as she has been, so far, in her young life.
At 7, she is already focused on philanthropy, having learned at a young age that everything is possible, as long as you apply yourself – and, in her case, a few joyful coats of colorful paint.

Riverdale kids do ‘stupendous’ job running nonprofit: Turning over the running of a nonprofit to a bunch of inexperienced kids might seem like a shot in the dark.
But not to Della Rae.
The Lake Oswego woman’s Donors Resource has been a groundbreaker from the start, and so she totally believed a carefully chosen group of students from Riverdale High School would succeed when she gave them control of the nonprofit’s operation last March.

This fall, the young women in Julie Keller’s Clothing I class and Fashion Club members have made about 25 simple dresses to donate to girls around the world through the “Hope 4 Women International” charity.
The charity’s goal is to create “a world where every little girl owned at least one dress.”

Second-graders from Jersey City's ECCS aid victims of Haitian earhquake | NJ.com: The consequences of the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that ravaged Haiti in January last year might not be headline news anymore, but some second-graders at a Jersey City charter school are doing their part to ease the burden of the quake’s victims.
During the first two weeks of October, students at the Ethical Community Charter School (ECCS), a public school located at 95 Broadway, assembled care packages for families and students in Haiti who were affected by the devastating earthquake of 2010.

It began in Cambridge in 2009 when a group of tech-savvy twentysomethings frustrated by the bureaucracy of traditional funding got together and, in essence, said: “You know what would be awesome? If there were an organization that gave you money if you had an awesome idea.’’ Then they became that organization, loosely.
