One by One: Quixtar Philanthropy Across the World : A small group of thoughtful committed kids: "A small group of thoughtful committed kids
Tuesday, January 30, 2007
Margaret Mead once said 'Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
I want to draw your attention to a small group of thoughtful committed school kids from Northville, Michigan. At a time when international understanding is critical to the future, especially when it comes to Muslim nations, these kids are working their tails off raising money to help their counterparts in Afghanistan. Through a non-profit organization, Kids 4 Afghan Kids, they established with the help of their teacher and Quixtar IBO, Khris Nedam, they've raised enough money to witness the construction of a six-room school, an orphanage, a bakery/kitchen, a guest house and a community well."
