Middle school students turn into young philanthropists Prior Lake American: "By Shawn Hogendorf, Staff Writer
What started back in March when Twin Oaks Middle School counselors gave a randomly selected group of 15 students and three teachers each $50 bills for the “Big Give” project, blossomed into more than $4,500 in charitable giving.
With $50 in tote, students and staff set out to make an impact in their corner of the world by helping others in need. Students and staff came up with a variety of ideas ranging from helping animals by donating to the Humane Society to making teddy bears and donating them to police to give to children taken out of traumatic situations."
