Society scene: pennies untiy school - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com: "The 400 students at Unity School in Delray Beach have been helping Haiti since long before January's devastating earthquake.
In their latest undertaking, students raided their piggy banks, set up stands to sell cookies, brownies, hot chocolate and lemonade, performed household chores, sold craft items, and worked jobs to raise funds and awareness for the cause. Through their efforts, students raised $2,818. That figure was matched 50 percent by the Barr Foundation of Boca Raton, bringing the total to $4,227."
