Philanthropy event honors Topsail High Student - News - Topsail Advertiser: Topsail High School’s Michael Castoro was honored as the “Student Fundraiser of the Year” at the Association of Fundraising Professionals North Carolina, Cape Fear Region Chapter’s annual National Philanthropy Day celebration on November 8. Castoro was honored for his dedication to philanthropy and the Performing Arts Department at Topsail High School.

AFP thanks the Bob Carter Companies for their support and sponsorship of the 2013 William R. Simms Awards for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy. Two awards, an Individual and a Youth Group Award, will be presented at The Celebration of Philanthropy at AFP's International Conference on Fundraising, April 6, 2013, in San Diego. Our youth honorees this year were Jeneece Edroff, O.B.C., and Megan and Justin Churchman. Record-breaking donation for Wichita's Operation Holiday - KWCH: This year, a lot of the thanks goes to the students at St. Thomas Aquinas School. The kids collected 21,000 cans of food--the single biggest donation Operation Holiday has ever received.
