Teen’s charity promotes reading, sets up permanent donation box - The Bristol Press: Bristol Press: "SOUTHINGTON — Local educational nonprofit Planting Pencils honored Read Across America Day by making its first donations to two Hartford Schools Wednesday.
Planting Pencils founder, 13-year-old Southington resident Ishaan Patel, State Representative Douglass McCrory (D-Hartford) and other local and state officials visited Trinity Academy, at 120 Sigourney St., at 1:30 p.m. and Covenant Preparatory School, at 135 Broad St., at 3 p.m."
