Coconut Grove student raises $40,000 for Haiti

Coconut Grove student raises $40,000 for Haiti: "Laura Simko, 18, who graduated from Ransom Everglades School in Coconut Grove last week, spent most of her senior year spearheading a project that raised $40,000 for Haiti. Simko organized a 5K run through Coconut Grove to raise money for Project Medishare, a nonprofit founded in 1994 by doctors at University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine to help provide healthcare to Haiti."
