Binghamton University class gives away $13,000 - YNN, Your News Now: "BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- How nice would it be to take a college class where the assignment is for you to give away money? About 40 students at Binghamton University found out just how that feels as part of their Philanthropy and Civil Society Course.
The students were given $13,000 from various grants and spent the semester researching and determining where the money should go. They announced Wednesday afternoon it will be divided up between six local non-profits."
