When they say young people can make a difference, four students at St. Mary's Secondary School in Cobourg could be the poster kids.
McKenna Ainsworth, Casey Minifie, Meaghan Morel and Megaera Bonsall took part in a competition in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative -- a project of the Toskan-Casale Foundation -- and came away with a $5,000 donation for Northumberland Services For Women.
It was done as part of their religion class, Megaera explained."
