North West Evening Mail | News | Charity ‘gobsmacked’ by support for Ulverston campaigner Alice: Campaigner and fundraiser, Alice Pyne, 16, asked young people to attend a registering event with the Anthony Nolan charity at Ulverston Victoria High School, and they replied by packing into the hall yesterday to get involved.
The blood cancer charity is the first in the world to allow 16 and 17-year-olds to join the bone marrow register, something which Alice helped make happen.
