Fredericksburg.com - Hope for new lives grows in Honduras: "Shin Fujiyama, co-founder of Students Helping Honduras, received the 2008 Changing Our World/Simms Award for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy.
The 2007 graduate of the University of Mary Washington received the award at the Association of Fundraising Professionals' International Conference on Fundraising in San Diego earlier this month.
The award, named after AFP co-founder William R. Simms, recognizes service by an individual who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering and leadership in philanthropy."
