MyWestTexas.com > Archives > Press Releases: Midland College Students in Philanthropy to host 11th Annual Grant Awards Ceremony: "The Midland College Students in Philanthropy (SIP) will host their annual Grant Awards Ceremony at noon on Wednesday, April 16, in the Carrasco Room of the Scharbauer Student Center. This year, 33 student members raised a total of $5,800, with three key fundraisers ('Friends of Philanthropy” T-shirt sponsorships, Annual Frito Chili Pie Supper and Home for the Holidays Playhouse fundraiser). When matched by the matching grant provided by the Abell-Hanger Foundation and the Helen Greathouse Charitable Trust, funds totaling $20,800 will be invested in numerous nonprofit agencies that do so much in serving our citizens."
