Women's Fund Looking for Students to Help Distribute Grants - Malvern, PA Patch: "Nearly every public, private and parochial high school in Chester County has been represented on GAB. Throughout the past seven years, girls have helped the Fund for Women and Girls accomplish so much in raising awareness of the issues girls in the community and the nation at large face daily. To highlight, the “By Girls, For Girls” program:
has awarded nearly 50 grants to organizations working on behalf of girls. These grants have helped girls programs in every area of Chester County start new projects, provide training and leadership opportunities for girls, and reach out to diverse populations.
was awarded the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Greater Philadelphia Chapter. This award has previously recognized youth philanthropy projects such as Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Youthadelphia."
