New program pairs Oles with local nonprofits: "Nine St. Olaf students immersed themselves in the world of nonprofits and communal living this summer through a new program called Leaders for Social Change.
As part of the program, these students completed academic internships with local nonprofit organizations while living together and participating in weekly seminars on social change and civic engagement. Several of the students involved in the program will talk about their experience during chapel this Thursday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. Their chapel talk will be streamed live and archived online. A reception will follow from 11:20 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Buntrock Commons Sun Ballroom."
