Exciting back-to-school news from Baltimore area private elementary schools: "Congratulations are also in order for a trio of 8th grade students at the School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen who will be presented with the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ 2009 Outstanding Youth Fundraiser’s Award in October. Maggie Marrinan, Gabriela Beese and Cailin Smith will be recognized for their efforts to help the victims of last year’s hurricanes in Texas. The three girls raised money for relief aid through the sale of umbrellas and at the same time raised awareness of the need to help people rebuild their lives."
