Simcoe Article: Students help shelter: "ORILLIA - Park Street Collegiate Institute students John Shields, Katherine Schlorff, Brandon Johnston, and Marlie Standen garnered $5,000 for Couchiching Jubilee House through a youth philanthropy initiative sponsored by the Toskan Casale Foundation. Civics students grouped into teams research a grassroots charity of their choosing and present the findings to a school-appointed panel of judges. Teams explain the mission of their individual charity, the services provided, and the fundraising activities it needs to survive. The group with the most compelling presentation is awarded $5,000 for their charity, courtesy of the foundation."
