According to a 2014 student philanthropist, “I didn’t realize our community needed so many things. I thought that all the requests were important but we had to narrow it down…” Not only does the program help to develop a deeper understanding of the granting process, but students also get a firsthand look at the many roles that nonprofits play in our community in meeting the needs of their fellow citizens."
