Children are becoming increasingly active in philanthropy at younger ages, The Philadelphia Inquirer writes in an article focusing on two local kids raising money for disease charities.
Maya Rigler, a 10-year-old cancer patient, has collected more than $100,000 for pediatric cancer through a web page set up through a charity based in Bala Cynwyd, Pa., called Alex's Lemonade Stand."
